More Description from Internet Sources--

The association of the Cowboy Artists of America was organized in 1965 in Sedona, Arizona. It is dedicated to the authentic depiction of life as it was in the old West, as well as it is today. The Annual Cowboy Artists exhibition with its accompanying catalog is considered by many museums and collectors to represent the finest in Western American art. This, the thirty-fourth annual catalog, begins with a story and pictures of the 1999 "roundup" at the beautiful Sleeping Indian Ranch near Ridgeway, Colorado, north of Ouray, where the members had the chance to ride, rope, and lunch at an elevation of 9,500 feet. Each artist's work is presented in large, full-color reproductions, along with sketches and biographies. The outstanding art of the 1998 Medal winners is also displayed, large and in full color.
